Blades have been sharp in new St. John's Junior Hockey League season

It’s still early in the schedule, but the Mount Pearl Blades look intent on dominating the St. John’s Junior Hockey League’s 2017-18 season.

The Blades have four wins in as many games after two decisive victories over the weekend, downing the CBR Renegades 8-3 at the Conception Bay South Arena Saturday and following up with a 9-0 home-ice shutout win over the Northeast Eagles on Sunday.

The Renegades’ loss was their first after opening the season with three wins.

In their four outings, the Blades have outscored the opposition 30-7.
