Davis, Inferno win Canadian Women’s Hockey League title

Paradise’s Sarah Davis added a Canadian Women’s Hockey League championship to her resume on Sunday as the Calgary Inferno routed the Les Canadiennes 8-3 in the Clarkson Cup Final at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.

Sarah Davis won a Canadian Women's Hockey League Clarkson Cup with the Calgary Inferno on Sunday. Later this month, she'll join the national women's hockey team at the World Championships.

Davis, drew an assist on the Inferno’s third goal, her first point in three playoff games.

The 23-year-old, who helped the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers to the NCAA hockey championship in 2013, was recently named to Hockey Canada's national women's team for the 2016 IIHF women's world championship in Kamloops, B.C. from Mar. 28 to April 4.

It’s her third turn for the national senior women’s team, having helped Canada to a silver medal at last year's worlds in Malmo, Sweden after joining the national squad in a silver-medal performance at the Four Nations Cup in Sundsvall, Sweden last November.
