The Ottawa Senators have loaned Donaghey to the Brampton Beast, an ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. Donaghey attended the Senators’ training camp, and was reassigned to the American Hockey League’s Belleville Senators.
Donaghey split his 2016-17 season between the Charlottetown Islanders and Sherbrooke Phoenix of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he picked up 11 goals and 29 assists in 52 games.
