The goal by Hickey, an 18-year-old from St. John’s, gave the Canadians a lead they carried into the second period, but the Americans scored three times in the first 3:02 of the middle frame en route to a 5-2 win and their third straight goal medal at the event.

Hickey had two goals and three assists in Canada’s five games in the tournament.
