High school hockey: Highlanders keep rolling with win over Cavaliers

The Holy Heart Highlanders kept their unbeaten streak alive in Hickman Chevrolet St. John’s metro high school hockey with an easy 10-3 win over the Prince of Wales Collegiate Cavaliers Saturday at The Glacier in Mount Pearl.

In St. John’s play, the Highlanders got two goals each from Noah Rowe, Jacob Dyer, Zachary Chafe and Thomas Hagan. Jakob Hann and Justin Hann both had a goal and two assists.

Friday at the Jack Byrne Arena, Regan Seymour scored twice and Jacob Eddy had two assists as the Gonzaga Vikings trimmed the Holy Trinity Tigers 3-1.

In metro high school play, Morgan Cole and Jacob Abbott both had a goal and an assist as the Holy Spirit Falcons and Mobile Monarchs played to a 4-4 tie Saturday at the Southern Shore Arena. Adrian Doyle had two goals and an assist for the Monarchs, and Brendan Houlihan scored once and had two helpers.

Friday at the C.B.S. Arena, Tyrus Fagan posted the shutout as Queen Elizabeth Pioneers blanked Mount Pearl Senior High Huskies 2-0.
