Trent Gaudon has a Team Canada jersey and a bronze medal tucked away in a trophy case in his home.
The 40-year-old Port au Port native was pretty pumped when he helped Team Canada win that bronze medal with Team Canada in the Masters division at the 2016 World Ball Hockey Championship in Montreal.

“That would be perfect,” Gaudon said from Palgrave, Ont., earlier this week.
Gaudon will look to chase down gold in the Masters division at the 2017 World Ball Hockey Championship Sept. 25 to Oct. 1 in Bermuda.
Getting a chance to wear the Maple Leaf again is something that the offensive defenceman — six goals and four assists in six games in Montreal — is something he takes pride in because he knows it’s an honour not everybody gets to experience.
“That’s what you dream about when you are a kid, either making it to the big leagues or wearing the red and white,” he said.
Representing his country isn’t something he takes lightly and he’s not just a guy filling out the jersey. He is a strong defenceman known for his big shot and aggressive style of play.
Gaudon will have some guys in the locker-room to chat about his native province with during the journey to Bermuda because Team Canada’s roster also includes Jeremy Bishop of Corner Brook, Cape Broyle’s Jamie Tobin, and Mount Pearl’s Peter Cabral and Terry Ryan.
