Holy Cross/Avalon Ford, the reigning Canadian senior women’s soccer bronze medalists, continue to prove that squad is the class of the provincial Breen’s Jubilee Trophy women’s soccer circuit.

The Crusaders improved to 5-0 on the season Thursday night with an 11-0 win over the youthful Mount Pearl squad in Mount Pearl.

In the five games, Holy Cross has outscored its opponent 40-0, with keeper Jaime Crocker getting the shutout each time.

Thursday night, Jessie Noseworthy scored three goals and Jane Pope had a pair. Also scoring for Holy Cross were Maria Mackey, Paula Whitten, Holly O’Neill, Keisha Young, Lauren Taylor and Emily Bailey.
