A rubber match — or this case, a rubber bout — will provide the main event in the TRC Boxing Club’s annual dinner show at the Royal Canadian Legion in Pleasantville.

The event always features visiting fighters from Nova Scotia, and for a third straight year, the Bluenose headliner is Kennetcook, N.S., native Wyatt Sanford. And for a third straight year, he’ll be facing Brandon Leaman of Rock Athletics in Mount Pearl in a matchup of two of the country’s finest 139-pound senior boxers.

Sanford, who now trains with Boxing Canada’s national team in Montreal, won their first meeting in 2015, but Leaman prevailed in a split decision last year.

Their meeting will be part of an eight-bout card featuring local athletes from the TRC club, the C.B.S. Boxing Club, Rock Athletics and Foley’s Academy of Martial Arts.
