The 17-year-old Connors, a forward, attends Shattuck-St. Mary’s, a Minnesota prep school, and has committed to Princeton University for next year. Just last week, she signed her official letter of intent to play for Princeton.
Connors made her international debut in August while playing for the national U18 in an exhibition tourney against the United States in Lake Placeid, N.Y.
Canada will play Russia, Sweden and the United States in preliminary-round play at the world U18 tournament, which begins Jan. 6.
