The Sea-Hawks have a three-game series in Moncton, N.B., this weekend, beginning tonight against the Blue Eagles. Memorial (12-5) will finish second in the six-team conference — they can’t catch the first-place Dalhousie Tigers (18-1) and can’t be overtaken by the third-place Saint Mary’s Huskies (10-9), who have one game left.
And while it looks like it will be Memorial versus SMU and Dal taking on Moncton in the conference semifinals, there is one scenario that would change that; if Moncton (8-9) sweeps Memorial this weekend, and Saint Mary’s ‘s loses Saturday against UNB, the Blue Eagles would finish third.
Playoffs are March 3-4 in Halifax, hosted by Saint Mary’s.
