Bulldogs pitcher Sean Cleary was MVP of the tourney after striking out 41 batters in 21 innings of work.

This past weekend marked the 37th year of the tournament.

At Lions Park, Ezekiel walked five and struck out seven, and hit a first-inning home run. It would be all the offence Ezekiel would need. Gary Bruce padded Kelly’s lead with a fifth-inning solo blast.

The runs came off losing pitcher Jason Hill (7IP, 2R, 2H, 5BB, 9K). Tyler McDonald had the only hit off Ezekiel.

Sean Cleary of Kelly’s was the tournament MVP. Cleary was 3-0 on the mound, with a 0.67 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 21 innings.

Brad Ezekiel of the NTV Hitmen was the top batter, going five-for-seven for a .714 batting average.

Kelly’s Pub went a perfect 4-0 in the tournament.

Members of the winning team are Shane Boland, Gary Bruce, Sean Cleary, Daniel Dalton, Stephen Dobbin, Blair Ezekiel, Jon Kelly, D.J. Lake, Mark Lewis, Liam Myers, Scott Myers, Stephen Strapp, Andrew Wade, Joel Whelan and coach Jim Dunphy.
