The final quarter-final series was decided Monday night, with C.B.C. Junior Canadians edging C.B.S. Storm 2-1. The Canadians swept the best-of-three quarter-final 2-0.
Eric Healey pitched the win on a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts. Tyler McDonald was the hard-luck loser, also scattering two hits while fanning 12. However, McDonald hit a batter and walked eight.
Riley Kenny had two hits for the winners.
The best-of-five semifinals get under way tonight featuring the Canadians and LaFontaine Club in one series and Goulds and Bay Roberts Coors Light in the other.
Tonight, Goulds and Bay Roberts meet at 6, followed by C.B.C. and LaFontaine at 8.
