The 21st annual Molson Swing Into Summer Tournament goes this weekend at Lions Park with seven teams from the St. John’s intermediate league participating.
There are two games today, with defending champion Lafontaine Club of Placentia taking on Roebothan McKay Marshall Republic in one matchup and the other featuring the Conception Bay Central Junior Canadians and Chayee Bourras NL Selects.
The other three entries —Sable Building & Design of Goulds, Sportscraft Waterford Valley and the Conception Bay South Storm — see their first action Saturday in the double elimination event.
Games continue Sunday, with what will effectively be a semifinal and the championship game going on Monday evening.
