Kelly swings big bat as Kelly’s take softball lead

The Bulldogs won 3-1 in the opening game of the best-of-seven final, with Game 2 slated for 1 p.m. Sunday at Lions Park.

Cleary struck out 11 Bigs hitters. Mark Power (6IP, 3R, 8H, 2BB, 6K) was tagged with the loss.

Kelly did his damage in the first inning. The Bulldogs got another run in the second, and The Bigs could only muster a single run in the seventh.

Nobody on The Bigs had more than one hit.
