The Memorial Sea-Hawks women’s volleyball team doesn’t begin its 2017-18 AUS schedule until early next month, but head coach John Slauenwhite is also doing some planning for future seasons.
On Tuesday, the Sea-Hawks announced they have a commitment for 2018-19 from Hannah Potratz, a 5’7” outside attacker from Spirit River, Alta., who has been named tournament all-star twice at the Alberta Volleyball provincial championships.

Hannah is an athlete I have known since she was in elementary school," said Slauenwhite, who once coached in Alberta, where he founded he founded the Central Peace Volleyball Club in Spirit River in 2008

"I have had the opportunity to watch her grow and develop into the fierce competitor she is today. She is a student of the game who always wants to learn and better herself, along with her teammates. Hannah is a very strong, dynamic athlete who has the ability to play multiple positions, which will impact our team and program as a whole.”
