Levi Moulton

Levi Moulton was first across the finish line in a time of 16 minutes and 29 seconds, with Mark Greene the runner-up, five seconds back, and Peter Bazeley in third place, nine seconds off Moulton’s victorious pace.
Jennifer Murrin’s 17:47 was the fastest time among females, giving her a second straight road racing title this year. Murrin also won the season-opening Boston Pizza Flat Out 5K earlier this month.
Sunday’s race, which had 320 finishers — 155 male and 165 female — had a course that consisted of two laps on the roadways around Mundy Pond.
The race is part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletic Association’s (NLAA) Toyota Plaza High Performance Series, where NLAA members are awarded points according to their finishing positions, with those points leading to year-end awards.
The tight finish among the top three at Mundy Pond on Sunday contrasted with last year’s race, which saw David Freake finish first with a winning margin of about a minute. Freake did not defend his title this year — he was competing in the Vancouver Sun 10 K on Sunday (see item below).
