These tryouts, being held May 26-28, are for teams traveling to junior nationals hosted in Kitchener, Ont., in late July.
With this being a selection year for Canadian world junior teams, the NLBHA is expecting a large number of players to attend, especially since the 2018 world junior championships will be held in Canada next summer and there is the potential for them to be played in the St. John’s area.
Eight players from this province played in the 2016 world juniors. Five of them won gold in the U16 division and the other three took home silvers after a shootout loss in the U20 final.
