Stewart, Murray take Memorial athlete of the week honours

Sydney Stewart of the Sea-Hawks women’s basketball team and men’s volleyballer Jordan Murray are the latest Burger King Memorial University athletes of the week.

Stewart, a third-year sociology student from Sarnia, Ont., averaged 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals, in two weekend road wins over the Dalhousie Tigers, helping the Lady Hawks clinch a berth in the AUS playoffs.
Despite a nagging ankle injury, Murray totaled 27 kills, 20 digs and 3 blocks in a couple of weekend losses to Dal at the Memorial Field House.
Murray is a second-year behavioural neuroscience student from Burlington, Ont.
