That means the Swilers will have home field advantage in the St. John’s senior A men’s rugby championship heading into semifinals next weekend.
In the other Goodyear Cup game Saturday, the Baymen RFC from C.B.S. downed the homestanding Vandals from St. John’s 26-12.
The playoff matchups look like this: the first-place Swilers take on fourth-place Vandals in one semifinal 1 p.m. Saturday at the Swilers Complex, while second-place Dogs meet third-place Baymen in the other semifinal 4 o’clock next Saturday afternoon at the Mount Pearl pitch behind Mount Pearl Senior High.
The Goodyear Cup final goes Saturday, Oct. 14.
