Three minor basketball tourneys begin in St. John's today

A trio of Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association minor club championship tournaments get underway today in St. John’s.

Beaconsfield Junior High School is site of the boys under-14 competition, while and St. Kevin’s Junior and Senior High in Goulds will see action in the girls under-13 and under-14 events.

Teams competing include Goulds Hoopsters, St. Anthony, Killick, Mount Pearl Minor Basketball, Swilers and Above the Rest.

Championship games are set for Saturday. A complete schedule and scores can be found at the NLBA website (www.nlba.nf.ca.)
