SYDNEY, N.S. — A Cape Breton Eagles prospect has decided to take his talent to the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Defenceman Bodie Nobes recently committed to playing for the Cobourg Cougars for the 2020-21 season.
The 16-year-old son of the late McGill University men's hockey head coach Kelly Nobes, appeared in 58 games with Stanstead College last season, recording eight goals and 32 points. He was also an assistant captain on the team.
Nobes, a fourth-round draft pick of the Eagles in 2019, reported to the Cape Breton training camp last August. However, he elected to leave the camp in order to maintain his NCAA eligibility.
