Emmanuel Dolo of St. John’s is among 29 players from Eastern Canada who have been selected to attend a Canadian national under-15 identification camp in Montreal this week.
Dolo, the 2013 Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association youth male player of the year, was the top scorer at the national under-14 club nationals in Lethbridge, Alta. netting 17 goals in five games. The Feildians Athletic Association striker has been a member of NLSA provincial teams since 2010 and the high performance centre since 2011.
NLSA Player Development Director Mike Power is also attending the camp with Emmanuel.
Players will have the opportunity to showcase themselves through a series of training sessions as well as two matches vs. the Montreal Impact Academy team.
The camp is the third and final U15 ID project run by the Canadian Soccer Association — previous camps were held in Vancouver and Toronto earlier this spring — with the top players from each of the camps moving on to the next level of the national program.
