First-place Feildians cap season with win

Feildians already had first place clinched, but the Double Blues put an exclamation point to their year in Johnsons Challenge Cup soccer with a 2-1 win over Holy Cross to close out the regular season Wednesday night at King George V Park.

Feildians were 15-4-1 on the year, while Holy Cross finished in second place at 12-5-3. The playoffs open next Friday night. Ian Gamba scored the winning goal in the 45th minute. Sean Henderson opened scoring for Holy Cross just a minute in, but Taylor Smith evened things in the 10th minute.
