Mount Pearl returns to Challenge Cup action with shutout win over Games team

The trend continues in Molson Challenge Cup soccer.

Ronaldo Morris scored the game’s only goal and Brandon Noseworthy posted the shutout as Mount Pearl First Choice Haircutters (3-2-5) registered a 1-0 win over the Gerry O’Brien Financial Canada Games team (5-5-2) Wednesday night at the Gushue Complex.

It was Mount Pearl's first league game in two weeks

Of the 20 league games played over the last four weeks, 17 have featured a shutout. Since three of those games ended in scoreless draws, that makes 20 shutouts in as many games, including Wednesday’s contest in Mount Pearl.
