St. John’s Soccer Club outscored Halifax County 6-5 on penalty kicks to win the game and the bronze medal in the Atlantic boys under-13 club soccer championship Sunday in Halifax.
The teams were tied 2-2 after regulation time. Anyang Achiek and Humphrey Kiwanuka were the St. John’s goalscorers.

At the under-13 girls’ championship in Charlottetown, P.E.I., the 5-6 placement game featured a pair of teams from Newfoundland and Labrador — C.B.S. Strikers and St. John’s. C.B.S. won 4-3 on penalty kicks after regulation time solved nothing, with the teams playing to a scoreless tie.
