It’s Craft Beer Month and there are some special events to help celebrate the occasion in Newfoundland and Labrador.
White Hills Ski Resort in Clarenville is hosting one of them, Brewski, this weekend, March 9-11.
The event kicks off this evening with an 80s night, but tomorrow is the big day. In the morning and afternoon there’s beer yoga, a demonstration-style class on cooking with beer and a presentation on brewing.
In the evening, there’s the craft beer festival with a sampling of beers from five of the province’s craft breweries. There are also food vendors and live entertainment.
Another cool event is scheduled for next weekend, March 16-18, coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day, every beer lovers favourite holiday, at the Split Rock Brewing Co. and Stage Head Pub in Twillingate.
It includes live music throughout the day, brewery tour, craft beer tasting featuring multiple craft breweries in the province, a St. Patrick’s Day supper, and perhaps most exciting of all, the release of a new beer.
