Thursday marked the official retirement of cousins Robert Belbin and Chris Belbin as owners of Belbin’s — a landmark family-run grocery store that’s been in operation on Quidi Vidi Road in St. John’s since 1943.

Many loyal customers dropped by to wish them well.

Coleman’s has bought the business and will carry on the Belbin’s tradition and Belbin’s own Dinner’s Ready meals.
