An undertaking by Pennecon Energy Services Group (PESG) to provide support services to contracted work in Long Harbour and the surrounding area has been released from environmental assessment.
Municipal Affairs and Environment Minister Eddie Joyce’s decision was announced in a bulletin from the department today, Jan. 22.
PESG is proposing to lease an existing building in Chapel Arm.
The facility will include fabrication/repair services for pipe/spool, fiber reinforced plastic, rubber lining and welding applications.
A styrene emissions stack will also be installed to mitigate potential styrene emissions.
