ST. JOHN’S, NL – Municipal Affairs and Environment Minister Eddie Joyce has approved the final guidelines for the preparation of the environmental impact statement (EIS) for Grieg NL’s Placentia Bay Atlantic salmon aquaculture project.
According to an environmental assessment bulletin from the department on Thursday, March 8, the document identifies the information Grieg will be required to address in preparation of the EIS.
Grieg is proposing to operate a salmon nursery in Marystown that will supply 11 sea cages located in Placentia Bay.
