BeeHigh Vital Elements Inc. (BeeHighVE) will have its Corner Brook grown cannabis in stores in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The company recently received approval from the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) to sell cannabis in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Rita Hall, president and CEO of BeeHighVE, said in a press release she was grateful to the NLC for its support and efforts to help the local craft company forge ahead with retail sales in the province.
“They had to think outside of the box in trying to help us move forward and they went out of their way to make it happen for us,” Hall said. “Hopefully, we can give them something different with our locally grown products.”
The company, which has a 10,000 square foot growing operation located on Northshore Highway, has not made revenue up to this point. The plan is to have its dried flower on the market first, followed by its edibles a few months later.
The company is also in the process of negotiating a distribution deal with the province, which would potentially include a storefront in Corner Brook and further incentives that have been provided to other companies that have come to the province and are selling through provincial agreements.
The company has already shipped products to Thomas H. Clarke (THC), Natural Vibe and High North, and has shipments going out to Green Stops. Its products will also be available at C-Shops in all 10 Dominion stores in the province in a few weeks.
