BULL ARM, NL – With the Hebron project finishing last year, Nalcor Energy started taking steps last fall to find a new tenant for the Bull Arm fabrication site.
Following release of a request for proposals (RFP) and a deadline extension to Dec. 18 from Nov. 27, Nalcor received four bids from:
• G.J. Cahill & Company (1979) Ltd.;
• DFB Driver;
• Pennecon Heavy Civil Ltd.; and
• Canadian Supply Base Company.
The list of proponents that submitted proposals through the RFP process with further information can be found at this link: https://bids.nalcorenergy.com/Module/Tenders/en/Tender/Detail/33682ddc-2503-44a3-bcd0-ab9e58da27c8/#Submitted.
According to a release from Nalcor, its next steps are to evaluate the proposals to determine whether they meet the objectives specified in the RFP, with the goal of securing a tenant to maximize site utilization while attracting sustainable business opportunities.
“At the conclusion of the evaluation, our intention is to enter into lease negotiations with one or more of the proponents. The objective is to conclude these negotiations towards the end of the first quarter (of 2018),” said the statement.
