The International Association of Business Communicators Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter (IABC NL) presented its awards for excellence in the field of communications Wednesday at the2018 Pinnacle Awards gala at Spirit of Newfoundland in St. John’s.

“We want to thank everyone who took the time to apply for our Pinnacle Awards this year. Your dedication and talent are crucial to the continued growth of our profession here at home,” said Diana Quinton, President of IABC NL. “I would also like to congratulate all of this year’s winners for being shining examples of excellence for the marketing and communications community.”

The event was hosted by Jonathan Crowe, journalism instructor with the College of the North Atlantic, and Karen McCarthy, vice-president of corporate affairs at Fortis Inc.

Seventeen awards were presented in a variety of categories.

The gala was sponsored by Fortis Inc., Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Functional Communications and Events and the College of the North Atlantic.
