SYDNEY, N.S. — Nova Scotia farmers affected by the remnants of hurricane Dorian last September have received more bad news.

Earlier this year, the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture issued a hurricane Dorian survey regarding the impact the storm caused on farms in the province.

The survey was conducted as a preliminary assessment to determine whether the storm met the eligibility criteria for an AgriRecovery request to the federal government.

Recently, the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture was told the information obtained through the survey didn’t provide enough to validate the recovery request.
