Colemans installing barriers at its store checkouts across Newfoundland and Labrador

Colemans is installing plexiglass at checkouts in its stores across the province to help ensure the safety its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. By Thursday (March 19) almost all the checkouts at the Gardens location on O’Connell Drive in Corner Brook were equipped with plexiglass. CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Colemans is installing plexiglass at checkouts in its stores across the province to help ensure the safety its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, almost all the checkouts at the Gardens location on O’Connell Drive in Corner Brook were equipped with plexiglass.

Colemans expects the installation process may take a couple of weeks to complete. 

Colemans is not the only grocery store to implement this measure.

Sobeys announced Friday it was also installing plexiglass shields in its stores. 

Sobeys is also reducing its hours to 8 a.m to 8 p.m.and has implemented extra sanitation protocols.
