Originally from Wenzhou, China, a city of three million people that's 500 kilometres south of Shanghai, the 29-year-old moved to Cape Breton in 2010 to study hospitality and tourism at Cape Breton University.
After having her daughter, Lavinia, Zhang took a leave from university for about a year, then returned to finish her studies and also completed a business degree at CBU majoring in accounting.
