ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador is holding an event at Confederation Building in St. John’s on Thursday, May 17 to mark National Seal Product Day.
The provincial government is hosting the event with support from the Government of Nunavut and various industry sponsors.
The economic, cultural, and environmental importance of the sealing industry will be highlighted during the festivities, and seal products produced by Newfoundland and Labrador craft producers will be on display.
The provincial event mirrors federal recognition of National Seal Products Day, which was officially designated last year and will be held later this month in Ottawa.
