The Travel Bug on Water Street in St. John’s has a special campaign on this month.
Customers visiting the store looking for new travel luggage can avail of their “Luggage Trade-In For Charity” event.
People who have gently used rolling luggage that they don’t want anymore can drop it off at the Travel Bug and receive $25 store credit toward the purchase of a new piece of rolling luggage.
If people aren’t in the market for luggage and just want to donate used luggage to a good cause, the store will take it anyway and pass it on.
The used luggage is being donated to Kirby House, Choices for Youth and the St. John’s Women’s Centre.
Store owner Peg Norman pointed out many clients of those non-profit organizations use garbage bags when moving from place to place and could make good use of the donated luggage.
