The development of the former I.J. Sampson school property at the corner of Bennett Ave. and Beaumont Street is continuing, with prep work being done for condominiums and seniors housing by developer Bill Clarke. This is what the property looked like on the last day of 2017.The school property had been valued at about $2 million but was sold to Metro Environmental Services for $189,000. The building required remediation ahead of planned deconstruction work. There is no word on when the project is expected to be finished.
