The Bay Roberts RCMP held its annual event to light up the Wish Tree for the Children’s Wish Foundation on Sunday, Dec. 2.
The funds raised from the initiative helps grant wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
Assistant Commissioner Ches Parsons, commanding officer of the RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador, was on hand for the lighting.
Also present were Junior Miss Newfoundland and Labrador Rachel Graham, members of the Bay Roberts Fire Department, Santa Claus, the RCMP Safety Bear and residents of the community.
Hot chocolate was provided by Tim Hortons and cookies by Subway.
The Shearstown Brass Band offered their musical services for the event.
