Cooking up a feed at Ronald McDonald House
Through their Home for Dinner Program, the staff at Ronald McDonald House invites groups to come and prepare a meal for families staying at their “home-away-from-home” while their sick child receives medical attention in St. John’s. On Dec. 13, staff from The Telegram accepted the invitation and prepared a delicious meal of stuffed chicken breasts, veggies, and dessert for the 35 guests at the home. Knowing that we were helping to ease the stress of families in such a difficult time, our experience was both humbling and rewarding. The dedicated staff and volunteers at RMH were a delight to work with, and we look forward to our next adventure in the kitchen!
Telegram campaign brings food items and monetary donations for Bridges to Hope
This year, The Telegram partnered with Bridges to Hope on their Miracle on Cookstown Road campaign, by sponsoring a food drive at the Avalon Mall and The Telegram office.
In addition to bringing awareness to their mission, we are delighted to report that several boxes of nonperishable food items and thousands of dollars were collected for the campaign that will help bring joy to many families this Christmas.
A special thank you is extended to the generosity of our individual and corporate donors!
