BLACK RIVER, N.L. — In what can only be fully experienced by walking through and taking it all in, Kevin Parsons has created a  winter wonderland.
You may remember Parsons’ exuberance in decorating for Halloween — outfitting his house in Black River, near Garden Cove, with a plethora of spooky accoutrements.
The only holiday he’s more passionate about than Halloween is Christmas.
Parsons, along with his wife Grace, have converted their cabin home into marshmallow world of winter, with countless decorations, both inside and outside.
He told The Packet he likes Christmas because it’s such a friendly, happy time of the year.
“All my life I loved Christmas because it seems like you forget about whatever kind of problems you’ve got to deal with whether it be in business or whatever,” he says.
“You just forget them all at Christmas and be joyous.”
Since he retired several years ago, he volunteers quite a bit of his time year-round. However, he likes to do a little more around the Christmas season, dressing in his Santa suit, visiting, and giving back.
