LABRADOR CITY, N.L. — Santa Claus parades:
• Location: Happy Valley-Goose Bay
• Date: Dec. 7
• Theme: "Cabin Christmas”
• Forming up: Green Street at 5:30 p.m. Departing at 6 p.m.
• Route: The parade will begin on Green Street and travel down Hamilton River Road, ending at the College of the North Atlantic Campus.
• Social: Winning floats will be announced and treat bags will be handed out by Santa to children at the College of the North Atlantic Gym following the parade.
• Location: Labrador City/Wabush
• Sponsor: Lions Club
• Date: Nov. 30
• Theme: "Northern Lights Polar Express”
• Forming up: Wabush parade participants asked to gather at the Wabush Shopping Centre at 4 p.m.; Labrador City parade participants are asked to meet at the corner of Drake and Tamarack Drive at 5 p.m.
• Route: The parade will leave Wabush Shopping Centre at 4:45 p.m., go up Bond to Whiteway, Bowater to Cormack, onto Cabot to Grenfell and return to the shopping centre.
The Labrador City parade starts at 5:45 p.m., traveling to Centennial Playground via Bartlett, Matthew and Hudson Drive.
• Social: Treats may be handed out along the route but not from floats, for safety reasons. A Community Tree Lighting will take place in the park at 7:15 p.m.
