Corner Brook Status of Women Council celebrates 45 years by unveiling new logo

The Corner Brook Status of Women Council office recently celebrated its 45th anniversary with an open house to show appreciation to its partners, volunteers and staff and to unveil a new logo designed by local artist Ed Hollett. Research coordinator Melissa Feaver shows off a shopping bag, just one piece of council merchandise featuring the new logo. Other items include pens, credit card holders and windshield scrapers. The council, which is located at 2 Carmen Ave., was established in 1974 to advocate gender equality and equity in the community and to provide accompanying education and resources. CORNER BROOK, N.L. — The Corner Brook Status of Women Council office recently celebrated its 45th anniversary with an open house to show appreciation to its partners, volunteers and staff and to unveil a new logo designed by local artist Ed Hollett. 

The council, which is located at 2 Carmen Ave., was established in 1974 to advocate gender equality and equity in the community and to provide accompanying education and resources.
