ST. JOHN'S, N.L. —
Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador held its annual winter family carnival on Saturday at the Easter Seals House on Mt. Scio Road.
It was a day of winter-themed activities, and a chance for families living with a disability to connect with one another.
Activities throughout the day included crafts, gym activities, and an information session on accessible sleds. Easter Seals NL’s director of programs, Eileen Bartlett, said about 50 people participated in the events throughout the day
“It’s an opportunity for families to come together and have fun,” said Bartlett. “Families get to meet other families, they get to build a social, support network, and they learn from each other — it’s a great day.”
