Is the late Carrie Fisher haunting the cast of the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ? If their current press tour is a sign, maybe.

During a press conference with the cast and creators of the film at Pasadena Convention Centre in California on Wednesday, according to SYFY Wire , there was a discussion about how Fisher was able to make a posthumous appearance in the new film.

As director J.J. Abrams was explaining how lighting went into the process of editing her in, a light in the room went out.

Abrams immediately stopped talking, pointing at the light, and yelled, “Amazing! That was creepy. Hi Carrie! … That’s so Carrie, by the way, to do that. Really weird.”

Abrams then continued explaining how she was integrated into the film using old footage, adding, “Had Carrie been around, and it’s still impossible for me to believe she isn’t because we’ve been editing with her for about a year and she’s been very much alive with us in every scene. … We were able to, I think, do something that Carrie herself would be happy with. She’s great in the movie, of course, and it’s still emotional and moving to think of her and how sad we all are she’s not sitting here with all of us.”
