Lt.-Gov. Judy Foote and her husband, Howard Foote, presided over the Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador 2018 Newfoundland and Labrador Book Awards at Government House in St. John’s on Wednesday afternoon. The Killick Capital Award for Fiction was awarded to Joel Thomas Hynes for his book “We’ll All Be Burnt In Our Beds Some Night.” The Bruneau Family Children’s/Young Adult Award was presented to Sheila Lukins for her book “Full Speed Ahead.”
