While the clock is ticking for the arrival of his latest record, Classified invites fans to an online release party for his new EP Time on Thursday night at 9 p.m.

Streaming from Swearnet Studios in Dartmouth — a.k.a. the production home of Trailer Park Boys — the show will feature a live performance, special guests, fan chat and the unveiling of new merch for the Enfield hip-hop artist who officially launches the new record on Friday. The show can be accessed via his Facebook page and YouTube channel.

After releasing February’s Rap Sh*t video (directed by brother Mike Boyd) in February, Classified followed up with the uplifting Top 40 single Good News (ft. Breagh Isabel) in April, providing a song of hope in the early days of COVID-19.

Then he announced the arrival of the new eight-track Time EP in early August with the third single Pick Your Poison. Featuring a video co-directed by Classified himself, the song co-written with Paul Aarntzen (ex-Hillsburn) and Owen (O’Sound) Lee examines vices and addictions we all struggle with in daily life, from alcohol and drugs to gambling and social media.

One month before the EP release, Classified followed up with a fourth single, Get Ready featuring prolific B.C. rapper Merkules, for an East and West Coast collaboration that pays tribute to those early influences that made them want to grab for hip-hop glory as teenagers in the first place.

Along with the first four singles, the EP also includes the tracks I Love It (ft. Just Chase), Super Dave, Pills and Blankets and Trust Issues.

Physical copies of Time on CD and vinyl will be available online via KT8 merchandise, along with T-shirts and even Classified face masks. For more info visit Classified’s website.
