INVERNESS, N.S. — A fish carving from William D. Roach is one of the works which will be on display at the exhibit, Everyday Folk, at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts from Nov. 15-Dec. 19.
The exhibit will feature some of the region’s top folk artists including Hélène Blanchet, Murray Gallant, Agnes O’Flaherty, Frank O’Flaherty and Roach, who will be at Sunday's opening from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The exhibit looks at the idea that folk art is crafted to make meaning out of day-to-day experience. The work features a mixture of woodcarvings, painting and textiles.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be limited capacity in the gallery which will be open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, go to www.invernessarts.com.
