It may be winter here but it’s always hot in Hollywood. Just when we thought awards season was over and there’d be a lull in celebrity news, we have a Ben Affleck press tour, a Friends reunion, new Netflix shows, and baby and engagement announcements.
Ben Affleck tell-all
Ben Affleck did an in-depth interview with The New York Times. He talked candidly about his battle with addiction and the embarrassment of relapsing in the public eye. The most notable quote from the article is, “The biggest regret of my life is this divorce,” referencing his split from Jennifer Garner in 2018. On a lighter note, Ben admits he has a huge, hideous back tattoo. Is he sure that isn’t his biggest regret?
They’re still Friends
The Friends cast is reuniting for a special on HBO max! The sitcom aired over 15 years ago but apparently, they were just on a break. So far, all we know is that the special will be unscripted – it seems like it’s a sit down with the original cast, reminiscing and sharing behind the scenes stories. I was really hoping to see them in character again but I’ll take what I can get.
Love Is Blind
The Netflix reality show Love is Blind has wrapped and I immediately need 20 strangers to get in pods and propose to one another. Love is Blind was made by the creators of Married at First Sight and the concept is almost as crazy. Strangers talk to each other from behind a screen for a couple of weeks and then decide to get engaged without ever having seen or touched the other person. They see each other, decide to stay engaged or not, go on vacation, move in together, meet each other’s friends and family and then get married, four weeks later. Now I’m offended that it took my husband four years to propose to me.
Anna Faris is engaged
Actress, podcaster and author Anna Faris is engaged to cinematographer Michael Barrett. Anna Faris shares seven-year-old son, Jack, with ex-husband Chris Pratt. Anna has talked about wanting to take vacations and spend holiday dinners together as a blended family – her and Michael alongside Chris Pratt and his new wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger (daughter of Arnold). That’s a much more beautiful sentiment for your ex; I typically want a lifetime of diarrhea at inopportune times for mine.
A baby on the way
Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) and Joe Jonas are reportedly expecting their first child. The duo has not confirmed the news themselves but several inside sources have corroborated the scoop. Sophie, 23, and Joe, 30, got married almost a year ago and will undoubtedly birth an adorable, funny and talented baby. Meanwhile, I will undoubtedly eat an entire pizza even though I promised myself I’d save the other half for lunch tomorrow.
