While the weather is getting colder, the Hollywood gossip is only heating up. Grab your pumpkin spice latte or your eggnog (got to love the in-between season) and let’s get caught up on celebrity albums, weddings, engagements, and pregnancies.
Ariana Grande released a new album
Pop star Ariana Grande released her sixth studio album, Positions. The album is a sexy switch up from Thank U, Next, with fun, flirty lyrics and mature beats. Of course, this review is coming from someone who still sings The Little Mermaid soundtrack in the shower. The top performing songs on iTunes are Positions, 34+35, and Motive.
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost got married
SNL star Colin Jost married actress Scarlett Johansson in an intimate ceremony with immediate family and close friends. They announced their nuptials through Meals on Wheels America, encouraging people to donate. This is Johannson’s third marriage and Jost’s first and they kept it low-key and funny, sending out handwritten save the dates on cue cards saying they had to save money for the wedding. It’s so funny when celebrities pretend to be poor…
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are engaged
Singers Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got engaged in mid-October at their home in Oklahoma after five years of dating. Gwen has three kids from her previous marriage and Blake made sure they were involved in the proposal. They really do seem perfect for each other and like genuinely nice people (as seen on Instagram and in interviews with Ellen), so I wish them all the best.
Emily Ratajkowski is pregnant
Model and actress, Emily Ratajkowski (say that 10 times fast) and her producer husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, are expecting a baby. Emily announced the pregnancy with a video and cover shoot for Vogue. In the interview, she shared that they aren’t revealing the gender of their baby: “We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and they’ll let us know then.” Male, female, or non-binary, that child is going to come out with a jawline that could cut steak.
Hilary Duff is pregnant
There are enough pregnant celebrities to start the coolest mommy and me class ever. Actress Hilary Duff and her husband, singer-songwriter Matthew Koma, are expecting their second child together (Hilary has a third child, Luca, with ex-husband Mike Comrie). Hilary is still as wholesome as her Disney days with a chicken coop in her backyard and marker stains on her coffee table.
American Music Awards
The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch (those are their names, not spelling errors) lead the artists nominated at the American Music Awards with eight nominations each. You can vote online for categories like Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video, and so many more. It is speculated that the Nov. 22 awards show will include socially-distanced performances and virtual speeches.
